This is for the children of today and the children at heart.
A reason to believe that everything is going to be okay.
We All Need A Reason To Feel Good These Days…. And this is my love song to the kid inside all of us, looking out the window, daydreamig of magic and social gatherings. Flying toilet paper rides, and candy rainbows.
Why CHLA…. In the spirit of spreading hope, I wanted this song to do something good in the world, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is near and dear to my heart. It saved my life when I was 18 years old, and they are fighting hard in my home city to save the lives of countless children battling COVID-19 (among other illnesses). There is no facility I feel more passionate about, or more deeply connected to. You can find out more about my story in this video.
Why Toilet Paper…. Toilet Paper has become a source of panic buying. It seems to be the one thing we can control, and is one of the most documented parts of this pandemic in the media. It is important to acknowledge that children are intuitive about this crisis as well, and carry their own fears and emotions. This song was written to address that fear in a warm and positive way, and to let families know emotionally that things will be ok. We will get through this one square at a time.
This song was written and recorded remotely with Jonathan Lucas, Harry Terrell, and Andris Mattson, and animated by JonesAndYou.
